Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These terms apply to any booking or consultation with MC Veterinary Physiotherapy ("we", "us"), whether at a yard or home visit, or online. By booking an appointment, you agree to the terms below.

Veterinary consent

UK law requires veterinary consent before an animal can be treated by a physiotherapist. We will request this on your behalf from the veterinary practice you provide, and treatment will not begin until consent has been received. If your vet has concerns about physiotherapy being appropriate for your animal, we will follow their guidance.

Bookings and cancellations

  • Appointments should be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice where possible
  • Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee
  • Yard block bookings are scheduled by area and may be adjusted with reasonable notice

Fees and payment

Current fees are listed on our services pages and are payable at the time of the appointment unless otherwise agreed. Online sessions are payable in advance. Travel beyond the included radius is charged in addition to the session fee, as set out on the relevant service page.

Nature of physiotherapy treatment

Physiotherapy supports recovery and management of musculoskeletal conditions but cannot guarantee a specific outcome. We will give an honest assessment of what physiotherapy can realistically achieve for your animal, and will say plainly if we believe another course of action would serve your animal better.

Emergencies

Physiotherapy is not emergency care. If your animal is in acute distress, has collapsed, or is non-weight-bearing, contact your veterinary surgeon or an out-of-hours emergency service immediately rather than waiting for a physiotherapy appointment.

Liability

We hold professional indemnity insurance and take reasonable care in all treatment provided. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions or outcomes outside the scope of the physiotherapy treatment agreed with you and your veterinary practice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
